Thailand is Asia’s main transportation hub with the largest airport in the region. More than 30 million travelers go to Thailand each year to enjoy its wonders. Thailand is the perfect jump off to visit other countries in the region and is almost uniquely places to do so overland.

Laos – Thailand and Laos are land-linked by several friendship bridges over the mighty Mekong river. You can cross at multiple points either in the north, central or south of Laos. The best way is to take a bus or a boat. The best way to cross is through Chiang Khong border and in to Huay Xai and then the slow boat down the Mekong to Luang Prabang via a stop in Pak Beng.

Cambodia – Thailand connects to Cambodia similarly as Laos through Isan (Thailand’s awesome north-eastern region). The best way into Cambodia is overland from Aranyaprahtet in to Poi Pet. It’s only a few hours by bus or car from Poi Pet to Siem Reap, home to Angkor Wat and other amazing temples.
